Max Hughen

My name is Max Hughen, and I’m a 16-year-old competitive fisherman from New Jersey. For the past three years, I’ve proudly represented the state of NJ in both the Junior and High School National Championships, where I’ve had the incredible opportunity to fish alongside the sons of well-known anglers, Mike Iaconelli and Pete Gluzek. In addition to these prestigious national tournaments, I’ve also secured two state championship titles and a 2nd place finish, showcasing my dedication and skill in the sport.

While bass fishing is my primary focus, I’m truly a passionate multi-species angler. I love the thrill of fishing for crappie, trout, salmon, and virtually any species that I can pursue. Whether I’m casting my line in some of the best lakes in the country or navigating a bustling river, the excitement of the catch drives me. Fishing isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s a way of life that connects me to nature and challenges me to continuously improve my techniques in the sport and the battlecreekbaits products have greatly assisted my journey to get there and being in charge of most the bass line of baits all the baits are hand picked favorites to give anglers the edge over competition or just to put fish in the boat on a regular day out.
